I watch her as she runs back
Well, folks, I recently returned from a nice little trip in beautiful Costa Rica. I plan on posting a lot of photos and stories, as soon as I clean them up. In the meantime, here is yet another mp3 posting experiment that I really hope will work this time. I tried two different web sites, so we will see which one works. The song is in the spirit of Costa Rica, and pretty much sums up how I felt when I had to come home.

Get that corn outta my face!!!!
I seriously love this movie. For all of you who live in a bubble, this is Jack Black from the new classic "Nacho Libre." I saw this movie when it was in the theatres, but it had been awhile, so I just rented it over the weekend, and I had totally forgotten how funny it is. It amazes me the incredible variety of Jack Black's facial expressions. In one shot, and after five or six different looks in rapid succession, you can't help but be amazed. And, he makes a pretty awesome friar. I bet a lot of people don't think that he knows a butt load of crap about the gospel, but he does.

The Deathly Whats-its...

This weekend Harry Potter 7 comes out, and I'm excited. I fully plan on dragging my unsuspecting wife to the bookstore with me at midnight to pick up my copy. A little childish? Possibly. Worth it? Yesh. So I have two copies pre-ordered from Borders here in Orem. I heard that they were giving out tickets for all those pre-orderers, and that they were starting to give them out at 7:30 AM on the 20th. So I run down there before work, and what do I meet? All the fanatics that camped out. Yep, my spot in line was right next to one of their sordid tents. As it turns out, not only were there about 100 people in line ahead of me, and not only did I only have about 15 minutes before I had to be to work, but the workers were totally incompetent. How frustrating. So I think I'll just go back during my lunch or something and try to get a number then.
In other news, I'm experimenting again with posting various types of files. I think I just figured out how to not only post mp3s, but also PDFs, MPEG videos, and all other sorts of goodies. Not only that, but I'm pretty sure that I can totally do it with my own files, and not someone else's. Here goes.

Sherwood is one of my favorite bands. I can listen to this song over and over and over again.

MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3
Well, I would love to learn how to post some mp3s on my blog. This way, people could understand what I'm talking about when I talk about songs. This post is going to be a little experiment on posting - we'll just have to see if it works.
[MP3] Stars - Take Me to the Riot
Well, I basically just ripped off this HTML from another site with an mp3. I don't even know if I like the stars. Anyways, I think I pulled it off...for now.

I was the only one who got burned
Okay, this is officially my first ever blog. I'm not even sure what inspired me to begin - it might have to be all the thousands of other music blogs that I've read over the years. It might be the fact that I'm listening to The Format right now. Shoot, it might even be the fact that I don't want to be left behind while the rest of the world is web-logging. Beets me. We'll see if this remains an experiment or not. The way I see it is thus - no one would want to read about my super normal life (married, college kid), but maybe someone would be interested in some music or other niceties...I'll never know.
